The artist Lukas Veraguth (*1985) from Bern/Switzerland is known for his light art, his delicate light installations, his poetry with light.

The exhibition title "Light as a feather" has a double meaning: On the one hand, it is about the artistic poetic representation of light, its lightness and transparency. On the other hand, in reference to the jazz song of the same name "Light as a feather" (comp. by Chick Corea and Flora Purim), the exhibition wants to remind us of the light-hearted attitude towards life "from back then" - prior to the pandemic. The light of the exhibition wants to shake us up and reawaken in us the former life feeling of lightness and freedom - just now, when spring comes...Feel light as a feather

The artist plays with the colored light reflexes and reflections. Depending on the viewing angle, additional, new non-real spatial dimensions and light doublings arise.
Four light installations have been created like a tailor-made suit for this temporary art space - 3 works in the shop windows, 1 work in the exhibition space
Each work stands on its own, but they all belong together. Their common denominator are the colored fluorescent tubes in the room, which are placed in an intuitive geometric arrangement.
Like a drill, the delicate mirror column rotates slowly and jerkily in a counterclockwise direction into the imaginary underground. The slow movement has something anachronistic and alarming about it; at the same time, the mirror column scatters the light cast upon it in all directions.
