Colorhythms, a neologism, forms the title of this exciting double exhibition. Colorhythms refers to the visual interplay of two artists who create visual rhythms with emotional color tones and abstract, balanced forms. The two emerging, not unknown artists, Mirjam Blanka Inauen (*1982, Zurich) and Janik Bürgin (*1994, Basel), a painter and a photographer, create pulsating compositions with their rhythmic visual language. The large-format paintings of Mirjam Blanka Inauen, which show sharply delineated, interacting color fields in contrasting colors, exude an energetic rhythm. In contrast, the fluid color fields in Janik Bürgin's painterly photographs pulsate like a breathing amorphous organism, which literally draws the viewer's gaze into the image.</image:caption>
